ESSENTIAL TIPS FOR BEGINNERS

After getting your permit, take the prelicensing class (AKA 5 Hour Class) FIRST, then you can schedule your road test and plan any lessons accordingly.

You must have NY Photo ID to attend the 5 Hour Class

Your road test can be up to 4 weeks after you take the 5 Hour Class, even 6-8 weeks in the summer
